On a certain level we all fear the moment when we recieve a commentary our our performance; no matter what area of our life it is.
When we are exposed and we are faced with we inabilities and our sinful state; we must come to grips that we don’t measure up. If you’re anything like me, you don’t like to fail. But lately I am learning a simple yet profound truth. A truth that hinges on the people that surround you and who get your ear.
Improvement requires input.
Typically it is constructive criticism. It’s important to note that in order to take your like to the next level, you must shead the comfrotable, the familiar and treasured for the fresh and innovative.
Unfortunately we fall in love with our lifestyle, our habits and patterns we can’t see the need in our own life. A heard a pastor say it this way once, ” The are where I struggle the mose is the area where I am afraid to hear the truth.”
The Scriptures says this about the things you don’t want to hear:
Better is open rebuke
Than love that is concealed.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend,
But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.
Proverbs 27:5-6
The most advantageous you can recieve is input from those people who love you, know you, and believe in you.
